Project Overview

SAP’s original Professional Services fundamentals course was long, highly technical, and difficult for new learners to absorb. I led the redesign of this curriculum, transforming it into a modern microlearning experience supported by clear workbooks, software demonstrations, scenario-based learning, and an engaging mentor/mentee video series.

The redesigned solution helped learners understand complex SAP processes in a practical, approachable way—while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and SAP brand standards.

Key Contributions

1. Microlearning Conversion & Content Revamp

I redesigned a multi-unit, multi-lesson ILT course into a streamlined, microlearning-based experience by:

  • Breaking dense, technical lessons into smaller, focused learning modules

  • Rewriting content using plain language and real-world context

  • Adding business scenarios to demonstrate when and why processes are used

  • Aligning instructional strategies to Bloom’s Taxonomy and the ADDIE model

  • Creating a consistent lesson flow: What You’ll Learn → Why It Matters → Business Context → Hands-On Process Demo

This restructuring greatly improved clarity and learner retention.

2. Instructional Materials & Participant Workbook Design

I created four redesigned participant workbooks, each including:

  • Simplified explanations of Professional Services processes

  • Visual process flows and diagrams

  • Scenario-based examples

  • Step-by-step guided walkthroughs for hands-on practice

  • Microlearning summaries and job-aid style references

These workbooks formed the backbone of the learner experience and ensured coherence across the full course.

3. Multimedia & eLearning Development

I designed and produced a full suite of multimedia learning assets, including:

  • Software demonstration videos

  • Screen-recorded walkthroughs

  • Animated explainer sequences

  • Interactive Storyline modules

Tools used included:
Articulate Storyline, SAP’s internal course authoring tool, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, and Microsoft 365.

All assets were uploaded, versioned, and quality-reviewed through SAP’s LMS and SharePoint collaboration ecosystem.

4. Mentor/Mentee Instructional Video Series

To make complex SAP concepts more approachable, I scripted and produced a conversational instructional video featuring a mentor guiding a new consultant through real-world Professional Services scenarios and SAP fundamentals.

This “storytelling meets software training” approach transformed otherwise technical content into relevant, practical application.

5. SME Collaboration & Project Management

Throughout the project, I:

  • Facilitated structured SME interviews

  • Maintained SharePoint documentation and version control

  • Managed deadlines, deliverables, and weekly stakeholder reviews

  • Ensured content accuracy, consistency, and alignment to SAP terminology

  • Coordinated with global product teams and QA reviewers

This end-to-end project management ensured a smooth development lifecycle.

Curriculum Structure (High-Level)

The redesigned program covered the foundational processes central to Professional Services in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, including:

  • Procurement fundamentals

  • Sales order processing

  • Event-based revenue recognition

  • Intercompany processes

  • Organizational structures & master data

  • End-to-end examples that tie processes together

Each topic was delivered through a mix of microlearning lessons, hands-on practice, and video support.

Tools & Technologies Used

  • Articulate Storyline – Interactive modules and guided scenarios

  • SAP Course Authoring Tools + LMS – Course hosting, structure, and integration

  • Adobe Premiere Pro & Camtasia – Software demos and video editing

  • Canva – Visual assets and workbook layout

  • Microsoft 365 – Documentation, collaboration, and workbook creation

  • SharePoint – SME collaboration, version control, and file management

Impact

The redesigned course delivered:

  • A far more digestible learning experience aligned to microlearning best practices
